I see my creative process as a kind of research, collaborating with those making the world a more caring, curious and creative place.
With a degree in Anthropology, I have a natural curiosity about the world and how people move through it. I build relationships with individuals & organisations, often spanning years, documenting and translating their stories and processes for a wider audience through film and other digital tools. My projects usually focus on aspects of community, education, culture and heritage, but you'll also find a healthy dose of the built environment, activism and the environment.
I love who my work enables me to meet and spend time with, and I take seriously the consideration that telling someones story is a great privilege. I fully believe the experience of creating a film should be a positive one at all stages, whether you are behind or in front of the camera. I’ll be there with you right from the planning, through to filming, interviewing and editing. Each element forms part of my creative process to create a distinct and honest portrait of my time with everyone.
You can find me tramping around with architects on building sites, in the Swiss mountains with a community of global educators, spending time with artists in their studios, or hanging off the back of a truck in Malawi. If you're doing good in the world, I'm interested in amplifying your work.
When I'm not making films, I'll be watching them, eating curry, or sweating it out on the dance floor.
