Subco Trust - South Asian Heritage Month
Commissioned by Newham Council for South Asian Heritage Month
As part of South Asian Heritage Month 2024, Newham Council wanted to collect oral histories of South Asian elders for the Newham Archive collection. Working with the charity Subco Trust (who I filmed with previously in 2022) and their lively community, I attended 4 sessions over the course of South Asian Heritage month to gather stories around food, music, dance and lives well lived. This was a joyous community to spend time with, and as well as the film below, several oral histories will be added to the Newham Archives and made available for access by the general public.
